Space 2
Careful research and planning was needed to achieve the full effect of self-isolation. The darker I could make the walls the brighter I could make the light to magnify the experience.
Space 2 is a room in which the surfaces are so dark that the viewer is the only visible object. Even after your eyes fully adjust the walls, floor, and ceiling of the room are invisible. Only your body remains, presenting a surreal experience of visual isolation. Instead of letting go of the body in sensory deprivation this space requires a confrontation with your physical existence.
